CAUTION!

FYI - there are alligators that inhabit the large lagoon behind Cobblestone and Wyndemere and they occasionally are seen in the smaller lagoon on Yacht Cove Drive.  Always be alert and exercise caution, especially when walking pets in those areas.

REMINDER - the dumpster at the end of Yacht Cove Drive is on Wyndemere private property and is for use by Wyndemere residents ONLY.  The dumpster enclosure has signs stating this.  Any non-Wyndemere resident placing items in the dumpster is subject to a $500 fine for each violation.  If you are not a Wyndemere resident, please use your own refuse company;  if you do not have one, ask one of your neighbors who they use or take your trash to the Hilton Head Island Convenience Center off of Dillon Road (visit the Beaufort County website to apply for a resident decal necessary to take trash and recyclables to all Beaufort County convenience centers).

As many of you know, four new members were elected to your Yacht Cove Board in March 2021.  The new Board strives to maintain community standards while being good stewards of your annual POA fees.  We recognize that communicating all of our activities is very important to the community.  With that goal in mind, we've created a status report in an effort to demonstrate accomplishments and work in progress.  {See the "Additional Information and Downloads" page, button labeled "Monthly Project Status Report"}  We plan to update and publish this report on a monthly basis.  Your Yacht Cove Board hopes that you find value in this information.

Welcome to the new Yacht Cove Web Site.  Please come back often to check for updates on what is happening in your community.

September 15, 2022

At the September 14, 2022 Board of Directors meeting, Kimberly Schultz was removed as Board Vice President; Frank Pellegrin is the new Board Vice President.  Ms.  Schultz was removed primarily because she consistently refused to follow existing Board procedures and made unilateral decisions that resulted in the unauthorized expenditure of the Yacht Cove community's funds.

CURRENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

August 25, 2021

Recently, a small alligator was found wandering around Yacht Cove.  Some children transported the alligator to the small lagoon by the clubhouse where it currently resides.  The alligator was evaluated by a SCDNR contractor and determined not to be a threat to the neighborhood.  It is a federal offense to interact with an alligator (regardless of size).  Any lagoon or pond may contain an alligator; please be vigilant and do not walk along the edge of any body of water, especially when walking pets.  If anyone encounters an alligator in the neighborhood, please clear the area and contact a Board member immediately.  For further information, please see the "Additional Information and Downloads" page, button labeled "Alligator Info."

Last week, the 2022 Board of Directors had its organizational meeting and its first monthly meeting.  Please see the "Board Members" page for a listing of the 2022 Board members.  On that page, you can also access the Board Members Directory to obtain contact information for each Board member and see each Board member's area of responsibility. Please contact a Board member if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.  Monthly Board meetings normally occur on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Changes in Rules and Regulations Related to Pets

Due to numerous complaints as well as current events in our community,  the Board of Directors reviewed and made changes to the wording regarding pets.  All pets must be on a leash and are subject to Beaufort County Regulations when off private property.  This includes when they are in Common Areas.

Please refer to the following Website for more information regarding Beaufort County Regulations.
