TENNIS COURT - the repair and resurfacing project is scheduled to begin on Thursday August 5, 2021.  Repairs are scheduled to be completed this week; however, the new asphalt will need to cure for a couple weeks before the final resurfacing can be done.  Therefore, the tennis court will be closed until all work can be completed.  The Board apologizes for any inconvenience but we hope that you will join us in looking forward to our community's refreshed amenity.

Recently, a small alligator was found wandering around Yacht Cove.  Some children transported the alligator to the small lagoon by the clubhouse where it currently resides.  The alligator was evaluated by a SCDNR contractor and determined not to be a threat to the neighborhood.  It is a federal offense to interact with an alligator (regardless of size).  Any lagoon or pond may contain an alligator; please be vigilant and do not walk along the edge of any body of water, especially when walking pets.  If anyone encounters an alligator in the neighborhood, please clear the area and contact a Board member immediately.  For further information, please see the "Additional Information and Downloads" page, button labeled "Alligator Info."

FYI - there are alligators that inhabit the large lagoon behind Cobblestone and Wyndemere and they occasionally are seen in the smaller lagoon on Yacht Cove Drive.  Always be alert and exercise caution, especially when walking pets in those areas.

We know these are difficult times for our community and world.  Please be assured the Board of Directors is monitoring the situation and will respond as needed.  While we are navigating through these untested waters, we are working to create fun diversions for your and your family.  The Yacht Cove HHI Facebook page has been reopened.  Please message or email Linda McAndrews if you need assistance accessing the page, or if you would like to make an announcement on the page.

Did you notice Blue Ribbons in our neighborhood?  Members of the Board of Directors placed Blue Ribbons around the community to show our support for all of those who are working to help the rest of us get through this time.  Healthcare, First Responders, Grocery and Pharmacy, Mechanics, and all other essential workers, we support you!

Rainbows Everywhere!  We are asking everyone to place a rainbow on their home in a spot that can be seen from the street.  This weekend, the kids in our community will be counting the rainbows to enter a drawing.  Please get your rainbow up.  If you need one, contact Linda McAndrews.  Coloring sheets can also be found in the Charli Library located in the Cobblestone Common area.  Our goal is to cover our neighborhood with rainbows.  Help us reach our goal!

Effective immediately, per a resolution passed during the last Board meeting, the regularly scheduled monthly meeting will take place on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our meetings are currently being conducted via conference call.

As many of you know, four new members were elected to your Yacht Cove Board in March 2021.  The new Board strives to maintain community standards while being good stewards of your annual POA fees.  We recognize that communicating all of our activities is very important to the community.  With that goal in mind, we've created a status report in an effort to demonstrate accomplishments and work in progress.  {See the "Additional Information and Downloads" page, button labeled "Monthly Project Status Report"}  We plan to update and publish this report on a monthly basis.  Your Yacht Cove Board hopes that you find value in this information.

Changes in Rules and Regulations Related to Pets

Due to numerous complaints as well as current events in our community,  the Board of Directors reviewed and made changes to the wording regarding pets.  All pets must be on a leash and are subject to Beaufort County Regulations when off private property.  This includes when they are in Common Areas.

Please refer to the following Website for more information regarding Beaufort County Regulations.

Welcome to the new Yacht Cove Web Site.  Please come back often to check for updates on what is happening in your community.
