Yacht Cove POA

August 25, 2021

Recently, a small alligator was found wandering around Yacht Cove.  Some children transported the alligator to the small lagoon by the clubhouse where it currently resides.  The alligator was evaluated by a SCDNR contractor and determined not to be a threat to the neighborhood.  It is a federal offense to interact with an alligator (regardless of size).  Any lagoon or pond may contain an alligator; please be vigilant and do not walk along the edge of any body of water, especially when walking pets.  If anyone encounters an alligator in the neighborhood, please clear the area and contact a Board member immediately.  For further information, please see the "Additional Information and Downloads" page, button labeled "Alligator Info."

Please contact a Board member if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.  Monthly Board meetings normally occur on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Changes in Rules and Regulations Related to Pets

Due to numerous complaints as well as current events in our community,  the Board of Directors reviewed and made changes to the wording regarding pets.  All pets must be on a leash and are subject to Beaufort County Regulations when off private property.  This includes when they are in Common Areas.

Please refer to the following Website for more information regarding Beaufort County Regulations.

September 15, 2022

At the September 14, 2022 Board of Directors meeting, Kimberly Schultz was removed as Board Vice President; Frank Pellegrin is the new Board Vice President.  Ms.  Schultz was removed primarily because she consistently refused to follow existing Board procedures and made unilateral decisions that resulted in the unauthorized expenditure of the Yacht Cove community's funds.
